The Institute of African Royalty (IAR) is a continental institution established to advance the role of traditional leadership and royal governance in Africa’s socio-economic transformation. IAR serves as a bridge between ancestral wisdom and modern development, promoting cultural diplomacy, unity, and strategic partnerships among royal houses across the continent. 

Through policy advocacy, leadership training, and global collaboration, the Institute positions traditional leaders as key agents of change in Africa’s development agenda, ensuring that heritage, governance, and progress move forward together.

CONTRALESA

The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (CONTRALESA) is a nationally recognized body representing the collective voice of traditional leaders, royal families, and traditional councils in South Africa. Founded to protect and promote indigenous governance systems, CONTRALESA works closely with government, civil society, and international partners to ensure that traditional leadership remains central to community development, land reform, and cultural preservation. 

As a cornerstone of South Africa’s democracy, CONTRALESA continues to champion inclusive rural development and the empowerment of traditional authorities as vital contributors to national unity and progress.
